انطلق البرنامج في عام 2013م، بهدف نشر ثقافة القراءة وتقدير المعرفة في المجتمع من خلال تقديم برامج ثقافية نوعية تسهم في تمكين القراءة وزيادة الوعي وغرس مفاهيم الاطلاع والقراءة والإنتاج الثقافي المكتوب باللغة العربية إيمانًا بأهمية القراءة، بوصفها واحدة من أهم الوسائل في الإثراء المعرفي للأجيال القادمة، وسعيًا إلى تحقيق هدف إلهام وتطوير مليون شاب وشابة بحلول عام 2030م. يتكوّن البرنامج من مسابقة أقرأ التي تمثّل حجر الأساس الذي انطلق منه البرنامج وشارك فيها خلال السنوات السابقة أكثر من 125 ألف مشارك من أنحاء المملكة، وتستهدف هذا العام طلاب وطالبات المراحل التعليمية والمعلمين. كما يتضمن البرنامج عددًا من الفعاليات الثقافية العامة التي تشمل معرض الكتبية لمقايضة الكتب، وأسفار أقرأ ، وماراثون القراءة في مكتبة "إثراء"، والعمل على نشر المحتوى الثقافي من خلال موقع البرنامج ومنصاته الإعلامية المتعدّدة.

Ithra Readers Club is an enriching youth forum where books from a variety of fields are discussed in public each month. The club aims to create a reader-friendly community and encourage discussions and analysis of serious books in a stimulating and liberating atmosphere. The books have been chosen by a committee from the Ithra Library team and have been approved by members before official club events. Today’s reader is tomorrow's leader.

Westerwelle Young Founders Program (YFP)
Fellowship
The Westerwelle Young Founders Programme (YFP) is a six-month fellowship for 25 leaders uplifting emerging and developing markets towards a sustainable future. We offer targeted support to scale our founders' ventures and develop their leadership abilities, with the following programme plan: Kick-Off Conference: A two-day digital kick-off conference will take place on September 4 and 5, 2023. Remote Programme: From September – February, the Young Founders will receive six months of support including a personal mentor, monthly peer learning sessions, monthly expert workshops and networking opportunities with corporates and investors. Berlin Conference: The ten best performing Young Founders will be invited to a five-day conference in Berlin in May 2024. During this conference, the founders will have the opportunity to pitch in front of investors, participate in workshops, join networking events and get insights into the German start-up scene.
OIST Research Internship Program

The OIST Graduate School offers education and research opportunities through our Research Intern program in STEM fields. The duration of the internship is typically from 2 to 6 months. These short-term placements give students the opportunity to gain experience in a particular laboratory or to learn a specific technique. Interns will work under the direction of a Professor and contribute to the research activities of OIST. Research Intern places are awarded twice a year on a competitive basis. Selection is highly competitive, and depends on suitability of the intended research, academic background, available funding and space. Not all available positions will necessarily be filled.
